Project in escalation

Project in escalation

The medium-sized industrial company has around 150 employees. Before we were involved, the variant manufacturer was in the process of escalating with its ERP system implementation! The customer and the previous team had exceeded the budget by 150%, missed the time frame by 100% and had no concrete project status. The management was under enormous pressure, the team was devastated and at odds with the external project management.

Management goal

Save the investment and make the project productive.

Our task

Find out what is “there” and save what can still be saved; objectify communication. Weld the team together again.

This is followed by the implementation of meaningful integration tests, the adaptation of the document flow and the testing of the invoicing and closing work.

Conclusion of the managing directors

"We thought we could scrap everything that had been invested so far. It was a stroke of luck that we were able to hire you.

You reassured the investor and showed us that we could use a lot of the project work we had done so far. You got up to speed incredibly quickly.

During this turbulent time, you led us with persistence, great composure and clear instructions. The team has developed greatly thanks to you..."

Our summary

"Because the customer was already moving far outside of his comfort zone, he needed a knowledgeable expert. This meant that the behavioral patterns that had become habitual during the project could be broken and we could work together again in a goal-oriented manner.

In a project that had been running for 2 ½ years by the time we arrived, something was always being created. We can reliably find out how useful it is by analyzing a business process simulation.
